Business continuity

1. Our commitment

Alin Li delivers live and online classes on infrastructure we operate ourselves. If a system fails or data is lost, teaching must continue and recover quickly. Our business continuity policy follows the resilience principles of ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and the discipline of ISO 22301. We are not certified to either standard.

2. Knowing what matters

We keep a list of the services teaching depends on, including our learning platform, live-class tools, student data and website, together with their dependencies, so that single points of failure are known and managed.

3. Preparing to recover

• Automated backups, with restores tested on a regular schedule.
• Written recovery steps, with a copy kept offline.
• A fallback for live classes, such as an alternative platform or a rescheduled session, so learners are not left stranded.

4. When disruption happens

We assess what is affected, tell learners, parents and clients clearly and early, and restore services following our recovery steps. If personal data is affected, we follow our data breach procedure, including notifying the supervisory authority within 72 hours where the law requires it. Afterwards, we review what failed and what to improve so the next recovery is faster.

5. Testing, not assuming

Most recovery plans fail because a backup was never restored or a recovery procedure was never followed. That is why we test restores and review our plans every year and after any major disruption, rather than assuming they will work.
